Brief Employer Description

A non-selective free independent school in the state sector and national winner of the 2015 Schools of Character Award. This school is based in Warrington and is part of a larger trust

Main Duties & Responsibilities

Support the Office Manager in the effective operation of all aspects of the school office.
Undertake a variety of administration tasks
Ensure work is prioritised and deadlines are met
Assist with reprographics ensuring that departments are supported
Assist with the production of the fortnightly newsletter
Maintain and update student records
Take minutes of meetings
Operate the school telephone switchboard
Greet visitors at reception, answer queries
Provide hospitality for meetings
Sort and distribute internal and external mail
Ensure outgoing mail is appropriately recorded and franked
Assist with the advertising of posts, preparing application packs, inviting candidates for interview and requesting references
Deal with emergencies, contacting a first aider or giving accurate information to the emergency services when required
Ensure that pupil/staff registers are taken to the emergency meeting point in the event of a fire
Carry out any other duties as directed by the Principal
Be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to child protection, health, safety, security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to an appropriate person
