Brief Employer Description

Apprentice Receptionist/Administration Officer required for a Medical Centre in Moss Bank

Main Duties & Responsibilities

-Receive and book in patients and operate the computerised appointment system
-Monitor patient flow and make emergency appointments
-Provide and receive information face to face, over the phone, via email and in writing
-Ensure messages are passed onto the appropriate people
-Explain practice arrangements and formal requirements to new patients and that registration procedures are completed
-Accept payment and issues receipts and advise patients of relevant fees for non-NHS services
-Input data into the clinical system and operate the practice call and recall system
-Process repeat prescriptions, open, sort and distribute internal and external post
