The qualification
This qualification is aimed at adults who want to work in the warehousing and storage sector or who have experience of working in warehousing and storage sector and would benefit from a warehousing and storage sector qualification.

What does the qualification cover?
Six outcomes covering – receiving goods, processing orders, customer service, health, safety and security, effective team working, manual handling. You will receive certificates for Warehousing, Manual Handling and Health & Safety.

Course delivery: During the course there will be paper based activities, including quizzes and questions / answers, power point presentation and videos, plus practical activities in a simulated warehouse. There will also be group work which will involve group discussions and activities i.e. completing team exercises. Please ensure information is shared with the course tutor if support is needed.

What kind of jobs can be applied for?
Roles within the warehouse sector such as warehouse operative, packer, picker, loader or storeman.

What opportunities for progression are there?
Gain employment in the warehousing and storage sector and progress to a full Level 2 /3 qualification in Warehousing and Storage or Logistics Level 2.

Duration:
2 days a week over 6 weeks, 9:30am – 3:30pm. The course is delivered at the Chamber’s Construction Training Centre, 528 Fleet Lane, Parr, St Helens, WA9 2NB

Assessment method:
Test based. 55 question multiple choice exam in relation to the warehouse elements and multiple choice exams for manual handling and health and safety separately.
