As the National Careers Service for St Helens, our qualified Careers Advisers are on hand to offer advice and insights into the local job market, helping you to identify your transferrable skills and suggest career routes which may suit you.

Appointments
Our qualified Careers Advisers are able to help you apply for work, and give impartial career advice.
They can cover CV writing, interview skills and more in one to one appointments.
Jobs Fairs
We hold regular jobs fairs to help connect local jobseekers with companies recruiting in the area.
Throughout these events our team is on hand to help you apply for roles.
Free Short Courses
We have a range of free short courses designed to give you the skills local employers are looking for.
Many courses come with a qualification too.
Redundancy Support
We can offer help with searching for jobs, job applications, CV writing and interview skills.
We can also help you apply for funding to help you retrain and ensure your qualifications are up to date.
Routeway to Employment
Each routeway is different, but all include a guaranteed interview for one of the live roles on offer with the employer on completion of the training.
Support for Veterans
We have a dedicated programme to support Veterans and their dependents back into work.
This programme builds the skills of Veterans and helps them to find their transferrable skills to get back into work.
Support with Self Employment
If you have a great idea for a business but don’t know where to start we can help. Hundreds of people have made self employment a reality with our support and you could be next!
New Horizons
New Horizons is a project offering support to people who experience specific and multiple barriers accessing job, training and education opportunities.
National Careers Service
The National Careers Service provides personalised careers information, advice and guidance to assist young people and adults to make informed choices about learning, employment and skills.
