Pre-Apprenticeship Training

St Helens Chamber Apprenticeships understand that this is a difficult time for everyone, particularly young people who may have been taking exams who are now unsure of the future. We’d like to reassure young people that they can still take steps to start their career with our remote pre-Apprenticeship training for young people aged 16-24.

Pre-Apprenticeship training will be delivered remotely

In line with Government guidance, we will deliver training remotely to keep everyone safe. If you sign up with us, we will remotely deliver training to help you increase your employability; this includes CV writing, interview skills, knowledge of what to expect in the workplace and more.
We can also get your English and Maths grades up to scratch remotely if you need it and you will have access to our exclusive local vacancies.

Exclusive Vacancies with local employers

Employers we are working with are still taking on for their vacancies, most of our current Apprentices are still in their roles and completing training remotely – those who’s companies have temporarily closed are still completing training remotely too so they don’t fall behind. So there’s plenty of opportunities for ambitious young people, even during this challenging time.
Some employers, due to the current circumstances, have put vacancies on hold for the time being so it make take a little longer to get a start date for an Apprenticeship; however, you can use your time productively so that when the restrictions are over you are ready to hit the ground running at a time when employers will really need fresh ideas and insights from ambitious young people.

Study Programmes

Our 7 month study programmes start in September, so we hope by then we will be able to offer classroom learning again; however, we are set up and ready to offer these remotely should we need to. There are four exciting study programmes to choose from which all include nationally recognised qualifications and a guaranteed interview for a Level 3 Apprenticeship – so you can start your career at a higher level.

Trainees are supported throughout their learning

All students will have access to a dedicated training adviser who will support them over phone, email and video call, so any questions or concerns you might have can be answered quickly and accurately. Training Advisers can support you when applying for jobs, preparing for interviews and more!
To start training, we’ll need to have a quick chat with you about your career goals and current experience.
