If you're looking to pursue a career in Warehousing, a Warehousing Apprenticeship is a great way to get started. Working as a Warehousing Apprentice will mean that you are part of a dynamic, fast-moving industry; and you could be working for some of the biggest companies around such as Apple and Amazon.
Typical Duties of a Warehousing Apprentice
There are no set duties in Warehousing Apprenticeships. Being a Warehouse Apprentice will mean you’re likely to do a variety of jobs; such as taking delivery of goods into a warehouse for sorting, stacking and storage, picking and packing items for dispatch as they are sent on their way to our high streets, businesses, out-of-town stores and keeping records of your stock. Therefore it is important that you can be adaptable and be able to bring enthusiasm and energy with each task you face.
Apprenticeship opportunities within Warehousing
An Apprenticeship in Warehousing can provide you with plenty of opportunities to work your way up the career ladder. There are plenty of Warehouse Apprenticeships available in almost every region of the UK, at every time of the year.
The more experience you gain, the more opportunities that come your way; with experience you could become a team leader, shift supervisor or warehouse manager.
You could also move into quality control, freight planning or distribution.
You'll gain lots of skills from a Warehousing Apprenticeship which can help you to stand out to potential employers, such as communication, attention to detail, problem-solving and more.
The best part is that you don't need a degree to go far!
