AAT Advanced Accounting Apprenticeship

If you are looking to pursue a career in accounting our AAT Advanced Diploma in Accounting Apprenticeship is a great way to take the first step onto the career ladder, an Apprenticeship is an ideal place to start as you can be learning more about the job and the field whilst earning money and gaining experience in the workplace and nationally recognised qualifications.

Level 3 standard advanced AAT Diploma

When completing an Apprenticeship with us you will gain a nationally recognised Level 3 Advanced AAT diploma in Accounting. Start dates are flexible through the year and alongside your work experience proves to employers that you have the skills and knowledge to perform accounting tasks to a high standard.
Duration: 12-18 months
Course content: On this programme students will gain an advanced knowledge and understanding of different roles in accounting, for example, business strategy, IT systems, ethical standards, transitional processes and different accounting approaches.
Progression: Apprentices will be given the opportunity to progress as a qualified bookkeeper or progress onto a professional level and become a full member of AAT upon achieving the associated membership criteria.

Accounting Apprentice job role

Assistant Apprentices provide support to internal and external customers and will work either as an assistant accountant within practice or alternatively within the finance function of an organisation. Their role will consist of assisting in the day to day financial activities like data entry to month-end management account or maybe year-end financial statements, this will give Apprentices workplace experience and opportunities to show their skills.
