Bricklaying Evening Course

Are you looking to enhance your skills, secure a job, or embark on exciting home improvement projects?

Our new FREE* evening bricklaying course in St Helens is the perfect opportunity to master the art of bricklaying!

Our friendly team are on hand to teach you everything you need to know, and this is a great way to learn a new skill and meet new people with in a relaxed environment.

Duration: 36 weeks (one session per week during term time)

Time: 6pm- 9pm

Start date: 7th September (enrolment)

Qualification: City and Guilds Level 1 Diploma in Bricklaying

Course content:

This course is designed for learners aged 19+ who are looking for a course to help them learn the basics of bricklaying for home improvements and to get into work.

The course contents includes:

  • Health, safety and welfare
  • Principles of building and construction, information and communications.
  • Setting out and building masonry constructions and damp proof courses.
  • Cavity walling
  • Bricklaying activities

The qualification in this course is highly valued by employers, statistics show that there is a lack of skilled labour in the Liverpool City Region and there is also a national housing shortage – so bricklaying is a highly desirable skill to have.
