**Applications for the St Helens Business Vehicle Grant are now open and will close on Friday 9th June 2023 at 12pm (midday)**
Please read all information carefully before applying, as you will need documentation and accurate information provided in your application to be considered.
We anticipate a very high demand so encourage you to apply early, please note that the application window will only be for 4.5 working days.
Applications will be submitted online using a dedicated portal, you will need to upload a few documents that will enable us to conduct the necessary checks to validate and determine if you are eligible for the grant.
This may include a copy of:
- Vehicle registration document (V5C) and insurance document for the vehicle you are looking to replace
- Tax statement or last published accounts
- Your Taxi Licence, if applicable
To complete a full application, you will need to pass the eligibility section within the application portal.
Please ensure that when you fill in the eligibility section, that the information and documentation is 100% accurate before clicking submit.
We will only accept one application so if you information is not correct, and you are deemed ineligible, you will not have the ability to submit another application. Please read the documents below carefully before applying.

Vehicle Eligibility
Vehicles eligible to take part in this Grant scheme must be:
- Using Euro 5 standard or earlier for diesel engines – Euro 6 engines are not eligible
- Euro 3 or earlier for petrol engines – Euro 4 petrol engines are not eligible

The vehicle must also be one of the following:
- Bus
- Coach
- HGV
- Van
- Light goods vehicle
- Taxi
