Covid-19 has impacted us all in different ways. We are looking for some business to take part in new research with Liverpool John Moore’s University (LJMU) to help us understand how access to asymptomatic testing has been made available for key workplaces.
The research asks for local businesses who have remained open with employees attending work during the national lockdown to volunteer. Individuals who have mainly worked from home during the recent national lockdown will be excluded.
The research is funded by the six local authorities in the Liverpool City Region and will include organisations and businesses operating of different sizes and sectors across the region. Organisations do not have to be delivering worksite testing to be eligible.
What will participation involve?
An online questionnaire survey will be emailed to employees, participants will also be invited to a telephone/online interview with the LJMU research team. All data will be anonymised and shared between the University of Liverpool and LJMU research teams
Participants who contact the LJMU research team about an interview will be provided with a consent form and asked to suggest a convenient date, they will also receive a £15 shopping voucher to thank them for their time.
Focus groups: Business owners and/or managers with responsibility for workplace health and safety will be invited to join an online focus group. The focus groups will explore organisational experiences relating to workplace health and safety, asymptomatic COVID-19 testing, organisational barriers and enablers, and outcomes for the workplace. Focus groups will last approximately 1 hour and will take place via MS Teams or Zoom following LJMU policy and guidance. Employers and their employees will be offered a feedback session, tailored to the organisation, on the results of the study.
If you are an employer that is interested intaking part in this research, please send your preferred contact information direct to the research team at smart@ljmu.ac.uk.
