Transport for the North (TFN) is developing a Strategic Transport Plan and a TFN Investment Programme to connect the North of England.
The new plan will have a ‘wide ranging and ambitious scope’ and will set out improvements to connectivity right across the North, with the aim of supporting the economy and transforming economic performance across the region.
TFN has produced two banks of evidence, the Major Roads Report and the Integrated Rail report. These reports will look at the performance of the current transport networks and their place in supporting the Northern economy.
The report will also look at how transport networks in the region can support future growth and will also identify the barriers to that growth.
TFN will be holding a series of roadshows around the North regarding their Strategic Transport Plan. There will be two events within the Liverpool City Region, providing an opportunity for local businesses, elected members and interested groups to find out more about TFN’s network, and discuss plans for the future.
The events will be held at the following locations:
St Helens – Red Vee Cafe Bar at the Totally Wicked Stadium, McManus Drive, St.Helens, WA9 3AL – 26th June 2017
Liverpool -Merseytravel Offices, No.1 Mann Island, Liverpool – 12th July 2017
