After securing one of their biggest clients in the St Helens area at the 2016 St Helens Chamber Business Fair, Prescot based digital marketing agency, Pixus, returned for the 2017 event.

Being one of 250 web agencies in Merseyside, Pixus like to have a more personal approach to gaining custom, talking to people face to face rather than via email and phone call.

Jack Dotchin, Digital Strategist at Pixus, commented: “We are a local business, so we are keen to keep expanding our brand awareness in the local area.

“We have a national reach, but the core majority of how we like to work is on a local basis.

“People like to see people in our industry, because its digital and websites there are a lot of emails thrown back and forth that aren’t that tangible. I think it’s good to get out there and show that we are people as well as developers who build websites.

“I think it’s really important to meet with potential customers face to face in order to really get under the skin of the business and make sure you understand their needs.”

As a result of the 2017 Business Fair Jack walked away with around 50 new contacts and five potential customers.

He is having very valuable conversations with contacts from the Business Fair now and hoping to turn some of these contacts into clients in the near future.

“The event was great in terms of layout, location and the calibre of businesses in attendance.

“Business Fairs are all about meeting new people and getting an awareness of what local companies are doing, what opportunities are there and what you can do to help other businesses.” Jack added.
