St Helens Chamber to hold a Jobs Fair aimed at connecting local jobseekers and employers

St Helens Chamber are holding a Jobs Fair, 20th July 11am – 4pm for local jobseekers looking to get back into work now that restrictions have lifted. As the National Careers Service for St Helens, St Helens Chamber’s qualified Careers Advisers will be on hand to help match up jobseekers with the employers in attendance, and can offer careers advice to any attendees.

With a fantastic list of local employers confirmed already, there is sure to be roles available to suit every career goal. Each employer is actively recruiting in their business, and are looking for hardworking candidates who are ready to get into work.

St Helens Chamber are encouraging jobseekers from all over the Region to come along and find out chat to these fantastic businesses to find out more about any opportunities available.

Ruby O’Brien, Senior Careers Adviser at St Helens Chamber, explained: “We’re looking forward to this event and hope we can connect lots of local people with roles in the area.

“We’ve worked throughout the pandemic with local jobseekers and many are keen to get back into employment now the restrictions have lifted, and there are lots of talented people ready to fill these local roles.”

Qualified Careers Advisers will be on hand to offer free and impartial careers advice, and will be able to help jobseekers update or create a standout CV. There will also be application support available, and access to a range of free short training courses delivered by the Chamber.

Ruby continued: “We have a range of free short training courses available to people living in the Region, and attendees will be able to sign up for these on the day. These courses are designed with local employers to help give jobseekers the exact skills they need to apply for local roles, so this should help people have the best chances of success.”

Exhibiting is completely free for local employers, and includes lots of promotion in the marketing of the event, but places are limited.
