St Helens Chamber is pleased to launch their annual business awards, supported by headline sponsor Brendon International and in collaboration with St Helens Borough Council, which celebrates the best of the region and highlights the achievements of local businesses.
The glamorous ceremony will take place at Totally Wicked Stadium on 20th October and will celebrate businesses from all sectors and of all shapes and sizes.
Rachel Wellens, Events, Education & Partnership Manager at St Helens Chamber commented: “We’re proud to host the annual business awards here in St Helens, and its always a pleasure to see how much has been achieved year on year.
“I’d like to encourage all businesses to get involved and submit an application, and we’ve introduced some new categories to showcase more of the amazing work going on in the Region.”
The categories for the 2023 St Helens Borough Business Awards are:
- Apprentice of the Year
- Scale up Business of the Year
- Smaller Business of the Year
- Social Impact Business of the Year
- Progression to NetZero Business of the Year
- Employer of the year
- Innovation Business of the Year
- St Helens Business of the Year
- Social Business of the Year
- Borough of Culture Community Champion
David Marnell, Head of Business Services at St Helens Chamber, added: “This event is a great opportunity for us all to come together and celebrate each other’s achievements.
“The last few years have been challenging for businesses, but as a Chamber we’ve seen many of our Members going from strength to strength. As a region we’ve risen to the challenges and I’m so pleased that the Chamber can help to highlight the amazing work that’s taking place.”
Councillor Kate Groucutt, Cabinet Member for Economy, Business & Skills at St Helens Borough Council added: “We’re pleased to once again host this exciting event showcasing the best of St Helens’ business community. In 2023, we are the Liverpool City Region Borough of Culture, giving us a chance to recognise our heritage and fantastic creative industries, but also reflect these as we develop our exciting regeneration plans for our two town centres.
There is no better time for local businesses to get involved in the annual Business Awards, which provide the perfect opportunity to celebrate the fantastic achievements of local businesses, while recognising and responding collectively to upcoming challenges. It gives us all a chance to look forward to a bright and prosperous future for St Helens.”
Local businesses can also get involved by sponsoring an award category. By sponsoring a category, you can support local businesses and elevate your brand.
Rachel explained: “We’re now looking for category sponsors, who will get extensive social media coverage before and during the event – alongside the opportunity to present the award to the winner on the night.
“Sponsoring a category is a great way to get involved and support local businesses too.”
