St Helens Chamber’s Young Peoples Development Team is offering careers talks completely free of charge to schools across the Liverpool City Region.
The team can offer careers talks for all age groups or can take part in assemblies or careers fairs and are flexible to the needs of the pupils and schools.
Rebecca Hitchen, Young Peoples Development Team Leader at St Helens Chamber, explained: “We think its really important that young people have as much information as possible before they leave school on their career options.
“Apprenticeships are a fantastic way to get qualifications and work experience without the student debt, and Apprentices earn a wage, so it really is a great route to take for young people in a world where employers are increasingly valuing experience over qualifications.”
St Helens Chamber offer Apprenticeships for 16-24 year olds in a wide range of industries. Each Apprentice will be supported by a dedicated team of Training Advisers, who will conduct workplace visits to ensure that young people are getting the most from their training.
Rebecca continued: “There are so many options for Apprenticeships, and often school pupils don’t know how many industries they could actually go into if they follow this path.
“That’s why our careers talks are so important to ensure they are armed with all the information they need to make an informed decision about their futures.”
The Young Peoples Development Team at St Helens Chamber are now taking bookings for 2022, and are available for any careers event or information session taking place in local schools.
The team can offer support to schools across the Liverpool City Region, and can tailor talks to pupils of all ages.
