St Helens Chamber is looking for ambitious 16-24 year olds who want to start their dream career. Whether they are still in school or looking for a new challenge, young people can take that all important first step with a range of exciting training programmes.
Fast Track to Apprenticeship programmes are delivered in a range of areas – and will give people the skills and experience they need to enter the workplace and hit the ground running. Alongside the general employability courses, St Helens Chamber are launching two new sector specific programmes for 2022.
Laura Brogden, Head of Career Development at St Helens Chamber, explained: “We’re really keen to meet ambitious people who are wanting to get a great start to their career through an Apprenticeship. We have plenty of training available to suit all career goals, and an expert team of Career Coaches ready to offer advice and support every step of the way.
“We’ve seen lots of growth in employment locally in Digital Marketing and Accountancy, with plenty of opportunities coming up across the Region. That’s why we’ve introduced two new sector specific Fast Track programmes in these areas! These programmes will give students the skills employers are looking for in these areas and will ensure that they stand out from other applicants with the support of the Chamber behind them.”
Fast Track to Apprenticeship programmes are 12 week training programmes designed to equip students with the skills they need to enter the workplace, alongside work experience and a strong understanding of what is expected of them in the workplace.
All young people who complete this programme become “Chamber Approved” and are given access to exclusive vacancies across the Liverpool City Region.
Programmes start monthly, and young people can secure their place now, even without GCSE results.
Laura added: “Our Fast Track courses are very popular with local young people who are ready to start earning while they learn, and anyone who wants to get practical experience in their field. This means places fill fast, so we’re urging any young people who are interested, or parents/guardians who want to know more, to get in touch now to secure a place for September!
“We have appointments available for anyone wanting to sign up, and plenty of drop in events planned, so please do get in touch and we’ll be happy to offer advice.”
