St Helens Chamber introduces free team leading course to upskill aspiring and new managers

St Helens Chamber has introduced a brand new free course, Team Leading Level 2, which aims to develop the skills of new and aspiring managers.

This course is free to anyone aged 19+, living in the Liverpool City Region, whether they are employed or unemployed. The course runs over 11 sessions, either one day per week or 2-3 times per week depending on the learner’s work commitments.

Learners on this course will gain an ILM Level 2 Certificate in Team Leading – ideal for adding to their CV or forming part of employee’s continuous professional development.

The Team Leading Level 2 course is designed to cover a wide range of topics highly relevant to the role of a team leader and will help learners to recognise and work on areas they need development, alongside developing their existing skills.

The course content includes:

  • Developing Yourself as a Team Leader
  • Improving Performance of the Work Team
  • Planning and Monitoring Work
  • Understanding Change in the Workplace
  • Methods of Communicating in the Workplace
  • Induction and Coaching in the Workplace
  • Developing the Work Team
  • Leading Your Work Team
  • Setting Team Objectives in the Workplace
