St Helens Chamber has been highly commended at the 2017 National Apprenticeship Awards in the Regional Employer of the Year category.

The 2017 awards, run by the National Apprenticeship Service and now in their 14th year, recognise employers and apprentices from across England. The awards recognise excellent businesses that grow their own talent with apprenticeships, and apprentices who have made a significant contribution to their workplaces.

This award recognises St Helens Chamber as an outstanding employer and focuses on the Apprentices that are employed and trained here, with the Chamber winning a highly commended award in the Medium Employer of the Year category.

Kath Boullen, Chief Executive at St Helens Chamber, said: “As a Chamber we see the valuable contribution that Apprentices make to businesses every day, so for us, using Apprenticeships to develop and grow our workforce makes perfect sense.

“From young trainees joining us straight from school or college, through to long-term employees who need to gain new skills, the Apprenticeship programme works at all levels.

“We are delighted to be recognised by the National Apprenticeship Service for our dedication to offering Apprenticeships, and are committed to continuing to offer opportunities to young people and support our staff with their continuous professional development in the future.”
