A group of St Helens Businesses are forging ahead with actions to dramatically reduce their Greenhouse Gas emissions, and at the same time make some hefty savings on energy costs.
Supported by St Helens Chamber’s Business Growth Programme, the firms took full advantage of 12 hours of fully funded support with the Chambers Environmental Consultant to commence their journeys to Net Zero.
The consultant worked with each business at its premises to carry out a full audit. The audit determined the current energy usage and the resulting harmful emissions.
He then worked closely with the Business Owners to identify methods reduce both energy consumption, and the consequent harmful emissions.
Each one of the businesses identified significant reductions in both carbon emissions, and energy costs.
The annual combined results have exceeded all expectations, and show beyond doubt these organisations commitment to reducing the effect they have on our environment.
