A business fair organised by St Helens Chamber, welcomed over 450 business people to St Helens on Thursday (28th April), at the Borough’s first business fair.
The networking event, sponsored by Lloyds IP and NatWest, put the spotlight on St Helens Businesses and provided opportunities to network, make new contacts, find suppliers and win new business.
Tracy Mawson, Director of Business Services at St Helens Chamber, commented: “We wanted to organise an event that would put St Helens Businesses on the map and allow some of the fantastic businesses we have in the Borough to showcase themselves to potential customers and suppliers from around the region.
“With 112 businesses exhibiting on the day and over 450 people through the doors, we are exceptionally pleased by how well received the event was by all who attended.
“We have already heard about lots of successful outcomes for the exhibitors with lots of new business being won on the day and more to come in the coming weeks and months, so we hope the event will give a real boost to local firms and look forward to building on its success next year.”
Martin Winders, Commercial Manager at Poplar Service Printers commented: “Congratulations to the entire team at St Helens Chamber for a fantastically organised Business Fair at Langtree Stadium.
“We found the entire day very rewarding and are looking forward to working closely with our new business contacts. It was amazing to see so many interesting and great businesses of all sizes getting involved. We’ll definitely be exhibiting at all future fairs and look forward to the next. Acquiring new business/contacts is key to business success and the St Helens Business Fair certainly allowed us to do this.”
Taking over two full floors of Langtree Park Stadium, the business fair was the largest event of its kind in the heart of the North West and was well supported by a wide range of supporting sponsors including, Liverpool John Moores University, Liverpool City Region Local Growth Hub, Aviva, Vinyline Graphics and Zut Media.
