Jobs/Apprenticeships

St Helens Chamber’s Career Guidance team is encouraging local unemployed people to take advantage of the range of free support on offer this January.

Support ranges from free short courses, to help with redundancy and access to the New Horizons programme – a project offering support to those living in the Liverpool City Region who experience specific and multiple barriers accessing job search, training, and education opportunities.

New Horizons aims to remove barriers to employment and education opportunities through raising aspirations, developing confidence and skills, and raising awareness of pathways into employment.

Trainees on the programme are supported by St Helens Chamber’s team of qualified Careers Advisers – who can offer advice and guidance in a range of areas.

Careers Advisers can work with anyone in the Liverpool City Region, aged 19+ at any stage of their career – offering free training courses such as:

  • AAT Accountancy
  • Business Admin
  • Customer Service
  • Construction
  • Digital Marketing
  • Food Safety
  • Health and Safety
  • Health and Social Care
  • Warehousing
  • Plus, many more

Training is completely free of charge for residents of the Liverpool City Region, who are aged 19+ and courses have regular start dates. Many come with accredited qualifications on completion to ensure that trainees have all the knowledge they need for the workplace.
