New Horizons Project Continues to Support Local People

29 Aug 2022

St Helens Chamber’s Career Guidance team is encouraging local unemployed people to take advantage of the range of free support on offer, including the New Horizons Project.

The New Horizons project aims to remove barriers to employment and education opportunities for local people across the Liverpool City Region. The programme aims to support people through raising aspirations, developing confidence and skills, and raising awareness of pathways into employment.

Clients on the programme are supported by St Helens Chamber’s team of qualified Careers Advisers who can offer advice and guidance in a range of areas. Clients can also access support with job searching and applications when they are ready to enter the world of work.

To get clients ready, Careers Advisers match them up with relevant free short courses in everything from AAT Bookkeeping through to Warehousing and Construction – Free training courses run regularly, and make a great addition to any CV and can go a long way towards helping client’s CVs stand out from the crowd.

Taking part in the New Horizons programme and any training courses is completely free of charge for residents of the Liverpool City Region, who are aged 19+.

Whichever route attendees choose, they will benefit from free and impartial careers advice and will have access to the support they need to get into work.
