Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership are seeking new Board members

The Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP) is looking for Board members, with passion, knowledge and experienc,e to be instrumental in the City Region’s growth.

The role of the LEP Board is to provide leadership in a number of areas:

Economic Development: The board is responsible for delivering and maintaining economic development, liaising with the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority and the government and acting as a key interface.

Business Growth: The LEP is the appointed Growth Hub manager for the Liverpool City Region, and the board has a responsibility to encourage the delivery of increased growth and productivity to businesses across the region.

Key Growth Sectors: The LEP manages and supports the development of the City Region’s key Growth Sectors. These have been identified as having the greatest growth potential and economic impact on the City Region. These growth sectors include Advanced Manufacturing, Low Carbon Energy, and Digital and Creative.

In order to be considered for the position of LEP Board member, applicants must have the necessary level of skills and knowledge to develop strategies for growth.

As a Board member you will be expected to attend meetings and development sessions, be a representative of the LEP and be instrumental in driving forward the LEPs agenda for the Liverpool City Region forward.

The Liverpool City Region Local Enterprise Partnership’s role is to help create a globally competitive place at the heart of the UK – delivering inclusive growth by attracting and developing more business and talent and creating more sustainable employment and high value jobs.

The current Board comprises local business and education leaders, alongside council leaders from Halton, Knowsley, Sefton, St Helens and Wirral and The Mayor of Liverpool.
