Is your business doing enough to prepare for the GDPR?

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) comes into force in May 2018, and will replace the Data Protection Act 1998.

The aim of the GDPR is to update the way that businesses create, use and store data to reflect the developments made since the explosion of the digital age.

The regulation will apply to businesses of all sizes that hold data collected from European citizens. Businesses that don’t comply with the new regulations risk a substantial fine, so it is essential that businesses familiarise themselves with the requirements of the new regulations.

The Information Commissioner’s Office has produced a self-assessment toolkit to help businesses find out what they need to do to comply.
