Are you interested in recruiting some bright new talent into your business – with lots of help from St Helens Chamber and a 50% wage subsidy?
St Helens Chamber has re-launched our ‘Graduate Hub’, designed to give graduates a range of transferable skills sought by employees, to add to their CV’s alongside their degrees.
The Chamber will work with the graduates over the course of three weeks and provides initial training to complement their existing knowledge. Following on from the training, they will be available to meet with local firms looking to recruit a graduate.
The Chamber’s Workforce Development Team will work alongside employers to identify the role they’d like to recruit to and the kind of person you are looking for. Graduates will then spend a week unpaid doing a work trial at the business – just to ensure it is a good match!
Once a match has been made, graduates will spend 6 months at their new place of work. St Helens Chamber deals with all the fundamentals, including payroll and HR issues, making it a really easy and risk free way for businesses to recruit.
Companies who employee a graduate will pay 50% of the graduate’s National Minimum Wage salary, which will be invoiced each month. The remaining 50% is funded by the European Social Fund, through the Access to Work programme
