The Government has recently announced that the financial incentives brought in during lockdown are to be extended.
Both the Kickstart scheme, and the opportunity to claim up to £4,000 per Apprentice you hire, have been extended so more businesses can take advantage of these fantastic grants and recruit talented people into their business during these busy times.
As your local training provider, St Helens Chamber is your ‘one stop shop’ to take advantage of all of these fantastic opportunities.
Get up to £4,000 for every Apprentice you hire before January 2022

St Helens Chamber works closely with talented Apprentices throughout the year, who are ready to start at your workplace.
Businesses who hire a new Apprentice before 31st March 2021 will receive a payment of:

Kickstart Scheme
The Kickstart scheme is a fantastic opportunity for businesses to create 6-month placements for 16 – 24-year-olds and get financial support to do it!
The Kickstart scheme has been extended until March 2022, with the deadline for employers to pledge vacancies on 17th December.
- For each young person you offer a placement to, the Government will fund their salary for 25 hours per week at the National Minimum Wage (any additional hours worked will be paid by you).
- Their National Insurance and employer pension contributions will also be covered by the Government.
- You will also receive a one-off payment of £1,500 to support with recruitment and training costs.
St Helens Chamber is an approved Kickstart Gateway, which means that we can apply for Kickstart funding on your behalf, manage your recruitment process and support you to on-board your placements.
