Free Short Courses running in September to help local parents back into work

St Helens Chamber have a wide range of free short courses running this September to help people back into work. Courses range from AAT accountancy to Hairdressing and are completely free to those aged 19+ living in the Liverpool City Region.

After the summer holidays, many parents may start thinking about getting into work now that they have more free time, and these courses can help them do this.

Mike Unsworth, Career Development Manager at St Helens Chamber, commented: “As the National Careers Service for St Helens, our Careers Advisers will often hear from parents around September time who are looking to get into work, but they sometimes struggle to find something which matches their skills, or find their skills are outdated after a break from work.

“The short courses are ideal for refreshing skills and many have accredited qualifications which are a great addition to any CV.”

St Helens Chamber’s team of qualified Careers Advisers are on hand to offer free and impartial careers advice, they can also help people to access training, funding and support with writing stand out applications.
