A new Business Growth Programme from St Helens Chamber was launched this month, funded by the European Regional Development Fund and St.Helens Council. The new service is designed to help businesses operating in the B2B sector who want to grow, but are finding obstacles in their way.

Following a free business diagnostic to identify any issues standing in the way of growth ambitions, the Chamber’s Business Advisers will put together a bespoke action plan for the business.

Companies will then receive fully-funded advice and support from Chamber Business Advisers and specialist business consultants, offering practical solutions to achieve their goals and improve their competitiveness.

Laura Taylor, Business Development Manager at St Helens Chamber, says: “We’re delighted to be able to offer this new business support service to local businesses.

“Our experienced Business Advisers will be able to work with companies on an individual basis, to help them develop their business effectively, deal with issues efficiently and find new opportunities.

“Businesses will receive a realistic plan of action to help them and identify the most appropriate source of support. Whether it is through one to one consultancy with an expert or by attending a series of seminars or training, businesses can access 12 hours of free support.”

Businesses can receive help with a range of issues, including but not limited to:

  • Marketing
  • Digital Technology & IT Systems
  • Procurement and Tender Readiness
  • Business Planning and Quality Systems
  • Logistics
  • Environmental Performance
  • Financial and Credit Control
  • Selling Overseas
