St Helens Chamber was excited to receive news in December that Enterprise Hub, a programme of support for new business start-ups delivered by the Chamber, has been extended to the end of 2021.
St Helens Chamber has a long history of helping new businesses to start and flourish in the Borough, and thanks to this new contract, funded by the European Regional Development Fund, we are now able to continue supporting new business ventures (trading up to three years) across St Helens and Halton.
Over the last three years the Chamber’s Business Start-up team has worked with over 1,100 potential business owners, working through their ideas to help them to decide if running their own business is the right step for them.
Since the start of the Enterprise Hub programme, over 130 sustainable new businesses have started in St Helens with our support, helping local people to take the challenging but rewarding steps that have changed their lives.
David Carter, business owner of Superdogs said: “The support from the Chamber opened my eyes to the finer details needed for my Business Plan. There are things you don’t know about until you look into it in a certain way. The support helped me to look down the right avenues and investigate the right things.”
Start-up support can be in the form of one to one coaching, specially designed workshops including the recently launched “Next Steps” for those that have been trading for over six months and also practical advice from a host of volunteer mentors who own or manage a wide variety of local businesses.
If you would like to arrange a meeting with one of our Advisers, or know someone who would, please contact the Start-up Team on 01744 742096 or startup@sthelenschamber.com.
