Would you like to help shape Enterprise Education in local schools and help young people become more prepared for working life?
We need to find a small number of business volunteers to work with secondary school in St Helens, Widnes and Runcorn. We are looking for people with management experience who are able to operate at a strategic level, to help the senior leadership team in their allocated school develop effective employer engagement plans. This project will help schools to better prepare young people for work and help to shape the future workforce for the local area.
You are not expected to know about the education agenda; your expertise is your knowledge of local business and the skills young people need to gain employment. You will be supported by an Enterprise Coordinator from St Helens Chamber to help you understand the range of support currently available to schools and put you in touch with other business people providing support in other local schools.
Volunteers will meet with their school approximately once a month and will also be invited to bi-monthly Networking Meeting to share ideas and good practice. This is your opportunity to be part of a rewarding national project to help improve employment opportunities for young people.
