Business

St Helens Chamber is looking for volunteer mentors from across Merseyside to support local people in the early stages of starting their own business.

As a Business Mentor, you will use your strong business knowledge and expertise to guide budding entrepreneurs on the journey into self-employment, providing encouragement to help them on their way.

After an initial introduction, Business Mentors will meet once a week, for 6 weeks, at a time and location that suits you both. Meetings last around an hour and during the session you will provide feedback on the business plan. Mentors will also give advice and guidance or answer any questions the mentee may have about starting up and running a business.

Business mentors will be fully supported by St Helens Chamber who will manage the mentoring process and provide you with all the training and information you need.

The Chamber will pre-screen mentees before you meet with them to ensure that they have a reasonable business idea in place and are committed to taking it forward.

If you are a friendly, committed business professional who can give up a small amount of time to support new entrepreneurs with a great business idea, then please get in touch. Mentoring local entrepreneurs is a highly rewarding role and helps improve our local community and economy.
