Established in 2006 as an O2 mobile phone franchise at Bolton Middlebrook Retail Park, Communications Plus now operates twenty O2 stores across North West England and Wales and an O2 Business Centre near St Helens which houses the call centre operations, administration and business sales and support teams.
In December at the O2 Franchise Awards 2018 event held in London, Communications Plus CEO Steve Roberts collected the Customer Focus Award 2018 and SMB Franchise Best Performer 2018.
Following the event, he commented: “It’s been a fantastic year for us and it was great to be recognised by O2 for our achievements.”
The SMB Franchise category was awarded to reflect the growth and development of the O2 Business Centre, which enters its 5th year in 2019.
Steve Harrison, who is the Communications Plus Business Solutions Specialist for its stores in Leigh and Bolton, said: “We always try to go the extra mile and give our customers great service and support, right from when I meet a customer to when our support team follow up, so it’s nice to be recognised for our customer focus as well as our growth.”
As well as receiving the O2 awards, Communications Plus also picked up two awards in November at the Pride of St Helens Business Awards. These awards celebrated the role of St Helens Businesses, Social Enterprises and Schools investment in raising the profile of St Helens as a place to invest, live, learn, visit and work.
After picking up their first award on the evening at the Macron Stadium as ‘Pride of St Helens Employer of the Year’, Communications Plus was shortlisted by the judges from all the nominations for its achievement across all the categories and was presented with overall winner ‘Pride of St Helens Award’.
Steve added: “It was an amazing night for us winning awards in two categories, and to be recognised in this way in my home town means a lot to me.”
