Zut has created a suite of animation and video content as part of a campaign to launch the new season at Chester Racecourse. The campaign, which also includes TV, radio and digital ads, is being unveiled ahead of the Boodles May Festival, which starts on 8 May, and is set to continue until the autumn with a raft of new content being released throughout the season.
Zut’s creative is centred around the rich heritage of Chester Racecourse, as Britain’s oldest track celebrates its 480-year history. The campaign kicks off with a striking animation designed to bring the prestigious racecourse’s heritage to life with archive imagery, dynamic race day footage and cityscapes, specifically captured by Zut. The animation creates a ghostly impact as Chester landmarks are entwined with dynamic racing scenes using a stylish double exposure technique.
Secondary content includes a mini documentary to mark key milestones and events in the racecourse’s history. The piece features personal accounts of Chester Races from some of racing’s most prominent personalities and a number of the racetrack’s key stakeholders.
