Business users can save 10% on Mersey Gateway tolls

10 Jul 2017

Knowsley’s Environment Network is inviting members of the public to attend a meeting regarding tolling arrangement for the Mersey Gateway.

Merseyflow will deliver a 20 minute presentation and question and answer session, giving an update of the progress or the project. The presentation will give attendees an opportunity to meet the toll provider and have the toll infrastructure explained. Vital information about the toll charges and registering for discounts will also be covered.

The Silver Jubilee Bridge and the new bridge will be tolled from Autumn 2017 and there will be no toll booths. Automatic number plate reading technology will be used and registered users will receive a sticker to be attached to their windscreen in order for them to be identified.

This will mean that everyone who crosses the river in Halton, wherever they live, will need to register with Merseyflow.

Business users will be able to cross the river using the bridge without registering, but will receive a 10% discount on the standard toll if they register for a discount.

Drivers of cars or small vans will be able to buy a monthly pass that will cap their monthly costs and offer unlimited travel across the river in Halton.

The event will take place on the 11th July at 08:45am at QVC, South Boundary Road, Knowsley Industrial Park, L70 2QA and is free to attend.

Registration for toll discounts opens on the 17th July, for more information and to register click here
