St Helens Chamber has created three new free courses, designed to boost your employees’ skills. These courses will ensure employees are better equipped to help their colleagues and clients who may need additional support.
The new courses – Introduction to Autism, Dyslexia Awareness and First Aid for Mental Health – are running regularly from July and are free of charge to any employees living in the Liverpool City Region aged 19+.
If employees don’t fit into this category, then competitive commercial rates are available and exclusive dates can be arranged subject to attendee numbers and availability.
Introduction to Autism
This course provides learners with an introduction to Autism; covering what is meant by ‘autism’, theories, and diagnosis. Learners will also look at common misconceptions associated with Autism and conditions that can co-occur with Autism.
On completing this course, attendees will gain a Level 2 Certificate in Understanding Autism.
Dyslexia Awareness
The aim of this course is for learners to develop their understanding of dyslexia to support colleagues or clients within a working environment and can also help attendees to support their own children.
On completing this course, attendees will gain an in house certificate of achievement.
Mental Health First Aid
This course is designed to help individuals obtain an understanding of mental health, as well as useful skills to spot the illness covering understanding mental health and wellbeing, understanding how mental ill health affects the experience of individuals and much more.
On completing this course, attendees will gain a Level 2 Certificate in First Aid for Mental Health.
