Beating Brexit for SMEs

LCR 4.0 in conjunction with the Local Growth Hub is running an event for small and medium sized businesses to find out about what they can do to mitigate risks and cut the cost of doing business after Brexit.

Businesses will be able to find out about the reliefs available to SMEs moving goods internationally and hear from a former HMRC tax expert, now at Ernst Young, who will outline the issues facing SMEs and offer mitigation to alleviate the risk to your company.

Many SMEs are unaware of the current reliefs open to them which can save thousands of pounds and ease cash flow, which will be even more important post-Brexit when costs are predicated to increase as tariffs may be introduced.

This will include topics such as: Have you considered how a change in customs procedure could affect you? Is your freight forwarder equipped to adapt to a new system? Should you consider a deferment account or Authorised Economic Operator status?

There will be an open Q&A session at the end so you can find the answers to your questions.

The event will be held on 31st January at No.1 Mann Island, Mann Island, Liverpool, L3 1BP, 10:00am-11:45am and is free of charge.

Limited places available to SMEs only. To register please email events@liverpoollep.org
