Grange Park Golf Club has seen a surge in new memberships since the coronavirus lockdown, leading to the club featuring on national BBC news.
With players under lockdown, clubs and courses closed, and all play stopped for golfers amid COVID-19, the St Helens golf club was unsure how their business would hold up. But, since the government announced that golf is back in play on 10th May, Grange Park Golf Club seen an increase in membership applications.
Grange Park Golf Club has taken on more than 30 new members since reopening in May, compared to two new members in 2019.
John Jackson said to BBC News: “The surge is new members was a great surprise. It is great for the golf club and its sport seeing so many people of different ages wanting to take part; it’s fantastic.”
The Club, located on Prescot Road is also delighted to announce that they have been chosen by England Golf to host the English Senior Men’s County Championship Final in 2021.
