Applying for Apprentice jobs in St Helens

If you’re ready to apply, here’s some top tips on how to ensure your application is the top of the pile for our amazing local businesses.

Do your research

Make sure you do a bit of research on the company before you apply. Is the commute viable? Is company culture a good fit? You can get answers to a lot of your questions with a look over the company website or social media feeds, another good resource is Glassdoor. This will also help you with tailoring your applications…

Tailor every application

Make sure you read the job description and person specification carefully, there will be key words and phrases your potential employer is looking for and you can make sure your CV and cover letter match what they are looking for, also showing a good understanding of a role and the company will look great on your application.

Check and check again!

It’s always a good idea to get someone else to proofread your application so you can be 100% sure there are no typos or spelling errors which could harm your chances.

If you need a bit of help getting your CV in order, or you’re not too confident at interviews our Careers Coaches can also help with this during your training.
