Accountancy Study Programme Students pass their first AAT qualification with flying colours

07 Oct 2021

Every student in the St Helens Chamber Accountancy Study Programme has passed their first AAT qualification with flying colours. Each student now has an AAT Level 1 qualification to add to their CV and are now working towards their level 2 qualification.

This prestigious qualification will help to set students apart from other applicants when they come to apply for jobs and gives them the knowledge and skills they need to be a successful financial professional.

Emmanuel Fabiyi, AAT Accountancy Tutor at St Helens Chamber, commented: “All the students are doing really well in lessons, and it’s a fantastic achievement to gain their level 1 bookkeeping qualification.

“I would like to congratulate the students on their achievement, and I am looking forward to working with them for their level 2 qualification.”

Study Programme students enjoy a range of benefits alongside their nationally recognised qualifications, including free driving lessons, all expenses paid study trips, business seminars, fundraising activities and more.

Rebecca Hitchen, Young People’s Development Team Leader at St Helens Chamber, explained: “We’re all really proud of how quickly the students have settled in and they have all worked hard for this fantastic achievement. The Study Programme is designed to help these young people stand out in a crowded job market, ensuring their CV’s are full of talking points, relevant skills and of course the qualifications required to be successful in the finance industry.

“We will continue to work with the students until they are ready to go into the workplace in Spring, and we look forward to seeing their skills and confidence grow!”
