Health and Safety for facilities services
Understand the specific health and safety policies and procedures typically used in the facilities sector. Covering how accidents should be reported and emergencies dealt with.

On completion of this unit the candidate will be able to have a good understanding of accident reporting forms and the procedures to be followed in the event of an accident of emergency in the facilities environment.

Working with customers and others in facilities
Understand the types of customers that you will be working closely with and the difference of internal and external customers. Also, understanding the importance of teamwork for both efficiency in working and for the safety of workers in facilities.

On completion of this unit the candidate will be able to have a good understanding of the importance of working well with colleagues for work efficiency and also for safety. Also, a good understanding of communication methods used within facilities.

Sustainability and environmental issues for facilities services
Understand environmental sustainability and the role that facilities services plays in the implementation of this and upkeep. This unit will also cover the issues and legalities relating to environmental sustainability and government requirements.

On completion of this unit the candidate will be able to have a good understanding of the sustainability regulations and how to make sure that companies comply with this. The candidate will also have an understanding of the different types of sustainable energy.

  • An understanding of the importance of researching the interviewing organisation

We also offer Interview skills sessions to help you perfect your technique so you can go to interviews with confidence.
