Level 2 Customer Service

Thanks to funding from the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority’s Adult Education Budget we are pleased to be able to offer this course free of charge – provided that attendees were aged 19+ as of 31/8/22 and live within the Liverpool City Region.

This course is for those who work, or aim to work within the customer service sector. It will develop knowledge and understanding of the principles of effective customer service, and develop the practical skills required.

You will work towards completing two units across 8 days;

  • Delivery of effective customer service
  • Supporting the customer service environment.

Upon completion of this course you may wish to progress onto a Level 2/3 qualification or Apprenticeship in Customer Service, Retail Skills, Contact Centre Operations or Business Administration. Alternatively it will enhance your CV to support you in finding employment or promotion opportunities within a Customer Service-based role.

You will work towards achieving a City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate in Customer Service and the following learning outcomes;

  • Describe how customer service affects the success of an organisation
  • Identify the range of customer needs
  • Identify the difference between providing a product and providing a service
  • Describe what is meant by an after-sales service
  • Describe what is meant by a Unique Selling Point (USP) and Unique Service Offer (USO)
  • Describe the interrelationship between customer satisfaction and customer expectations
  • Describe how an organisation can maintain customer loyalty
  • Describe why it is important for a customer to be able to identify a ‘brand’.
