Thanks to funding from the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority’s Adult Education Budget we are pleased to be able to offer this course free of charge – provided that attendees were aged 19+ as of 31/8/23 and live within the Liverpool City Region. Commercial options are also available for those not meeting this criteria.

 The prevalence of ADHD in adults is widely reported as between 2.5%-4% although this is felt to be a conservative figure. Only approximately 10-20% of individuals with ADHD will be treated.

Course content:

Learners attending this course will know what is meant by attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, the typical characteristics, the various theories of ADHD, the key difficulties and corresponding coping strategies. Learners will develop a finer understanding of ADHD and the support mechanisms that can be utilised by educational support and by learners.

Learners may already be working in, or seeking employment in the following sectors – education, health & social care, employability, voluntary

Progression and related jobs:

You could progress onto further learning or expand your knowledge with our range of Mental Health courses, Dyslexia Awareness, Health & Social Care or Introduction to Autism. This would suit a wide range of job roles, particularly in education, health & social care, employability and the voluntary sector.

Please note that this course will be delivered online via MS Teams. You will receive and enrolment form via email in advance, and once returned the link will be shared.
