If your business is looking to enhance your social value and give back to the local community – getting involved with our Education Programme provides the perfect opportunity to do this.
Businesses can get involved with the St Helens Chamber Education Programme in several ways, and each gives you a rewarding way to help inspire the workforce of tomorrow.
What Education programmes are available for schools?
There are currently two programmes available for local schools delivered by the Education team.
Learning to Work
The Learning to Work programme is designed to provide schools with high quality career related learning and personal development support.
Ready, Steady, Green
This project is aimed at inspiring children by highlighting potential career paths children could follow in the Low Carbon sector.
How can your business get involved?
There are several ways you can get involved, take a look below and find the best option for your business.
Sponsorship of the Learning to Work Programme
By sponsoring the Learning to Work Programme, your business will give schools the opportunity to access this fantastic programme free of charge.
We’re currently working with 31 schools in the area, but there are still 25 Primary schools without the programme – and we can only offer this with your help.
Attendance at Career Carousels
We’re looking for people across a range of sectors to take part in our Career Carousels. Your employees can attend career carousel events in schools to speak directly to pupils about their line of work – answering any questions they might have.
By getting involved in these events, you can help inspire the next generation and ensure that they have all the information they need to make informed choices.
Become an Enterprise Adviser
Enterprise Advisers are self-driven, committed individuals who are willing to provide support to a local school or college to help them prepare young people for the world of work.
Enterprise Advisers are vital to bridge the gap between education and employment, and with your help these links can be strengthened across the local area.
