REQUEST FOR QUOTATION
To supply Welding machines across all applications to expand our hire fleet
Background
Kay Welding is one of the largest distributors of welding equipment & accessories in the North West of England. It has long been established for 43 years and continues to evolve & adapt to meet customer demand. Recently Kay Welding has added a sister company to its business model , “K-Hire” which supports the engineering, construction & fabrication industry with rental machines.
K-Hire is looking to undertake a significant investment project to add a substantial amount of new welding equipment into its hire fleet to support both existing & new customers as it looks to grow and become more established within the welder rental market.
Requirement
Kit Required as follows:
Plasma Cutters
200amp ac/dc TIG Inverters
200amp MIG Welders
300amp MIG Welders
7KVA Generators
Fume Extractors
Petrol Welders
Diesel Welders
Deliverable Timescale
We expect the project to commence no later than the end of May 2022, and to be completed by the end of June 2022
Indicative Budget: £50,000.00 to £80,000.00
Evaluation Criteria
Quotations will be assessed and scored on the following criteria:
Cost 30%
Does supplier offer value for money.
Deliverability Within Specified Timescales 30%
Supplier must demonstrate they can deliver the requirement to timescales above
Meeting Specification Details 10%
Supplier must demonstrate all specifications met
Supplier Suitability 30%
Supplier must demonstrate they have the capability to deliver the requirement
Scoring Methodology
| 4 Excellent | Proposal meets, and in some places exceeds the required standard |
| 3 Good | Proposal meets required standard |
| 2 Acceptable | Proposal meets the required standard in most respects, but is lacking or inconsistent in others |
| 1 Poor | Proposal falls short of expected standard |
| 0 Unacceptable | Completely or significantly fails to meet required standard or does not provide the relevant answer |

This project is part of the Liverpool City Region High Growth Programme, and is part funded by the European Regional Development Fund. Under current Public Procurement Regulations there is no formal tender procedure, but a detailed written quotation is required
