Background

Distinctive Medical has strong ambition to accelerate its growth and for this reason is working with Sci-Tech Daresbury as a partner in the Liverpool City Region – New Markets 2 Programme which is part funded through the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF). This programme will part fund the work requested below and hence accelerate the impact arising for Distinctive Medical.

Distinctive Medical has distributed medical products since 2001. Our original offering was a large brochure with over 6000 products.

Due to changes in government budgets, better procurement strategies and spending patterns we have identified the need to transition from a large offering of products to more specialised divisions within the business. We envisage 3 or 4 separate divisions based on our most popular products. Once these divisions have been made we will build them up with more related products to these sectors.

As part of this transition we also wish to change our brand image. This will include logo changes, website changes, brochure changes and all relevant collateral.

Why this work?

At the moment our company has a mixed image and not enough people recognise our name. In order to do more PR work to get our name out there we want to “reset” the image and voice of the company and the rebrand work is the first stage of this.

Deliverable Timescale

Initial brand guidelines to be in place in 4-6 weeks.

Additional Works completed 3 months from outset.

Indicative Budget

The budget assigned for this work is £7,000 and proposals will be evaluated as per the criteria below.

Evaluation Criteria

Quotations will be assessed and scored on the following criteria:

Quality/Technical Merit (50%)

Assessment of the technical and professional capability that the potential supplier has to demonstrate that it can deliver the requirement.

Delivery Timescale (20%)

Can the supplier meet the timescales/deadline.

Cost/Value for Money (30%)

Is the price good value for money.

Scoring Methodology

4 Excellent – Proposal meets and in some places exceeds the required standard.

3 Good – Proposal meets required standard.

2 Acceptable – Proposal meets the required standard in most respects, but is lacking or inconsistent in others.

1 Poor – Proposal falls short of expected standard.

0 Unacceptable – Completely or significantly fails to meet required standard or does not provide the relevant answer.
