We have a variety of breeds including a Pet Influencer section as well as an expert Pet. With our highly trained professional team who have a wealth of specialised knowledge and experience, this combined with the large selection of trained animals; we have grown into a well-known & trusted brand offering our services on a national & international level serving local and international companies alike.


A new website & digital back end will increase functionality & branding & help to promote Urban Paws UK. At present the current website takes too long to load because of the platform it is built on and the way it is structured. Due to the system we have in place, it slows work down and processing of information is taking longer which is having a negative impact on sales. We cannot process data quickly enough, which has lost us work. Currently, we are unable to get new animals enrolled quick enough due to our system. We want to spend less time on manually adding data and speed up our whole process.

For users, having a smart search function will make it easier to find the right pet for their particular need. We want users to be able to search on location, breed, size or talent for example. This would reduce both frustration, potential loss of sales and admin work for the office.

Search Engine Optimisation will also help Urban Paws to appear in searches and with clean HTML and clear SEO tags, this will be achieved with the new build. This will lead to more sales but also could expand the area in which we are currently found (e.g U.K, Ireland, France). Websites also appear out of date often, due to the nature of the business. Giving it a fresh new look will also help project a professional, on the ball impression and shows the growth in the business. SEO is a changing art which means it is necessary to have the latest techniques in order to keep the website ranking high & therefore generating interest from new & existing clients.

The new back-end system will save hours of admin time, as it will automate the social media information for followers and likers, meaning they do not have to input every number by hand. For example our pet influencers number of followers change all the time as their followers increase plus their social media statistics need to be up to date, the new software will gather this information for us saving time and admin. Staff who don’t know every single animal profile could also help potential clients locate the correct animals using the smart search function, so certain enquiries do not have to be limited to one staff member.

A complex content management enables rich data including visual images & videos, blog functionality to keep visitors updated on our business & a bigger focus on user action (i.e contact forms), making it more likely that visitors convert into customers. A new data system will have date security & management, allowing potential customers to only see the relevant date & information, meaning we can control what is viewed & stored. Content including images/videos etc will be supplied by Urban Paws UK.

With the rise in social media and of course influencers, we plan to create a pet influencer section on the website where by clients can come to us to hire a pet to promote a product/business etc. Therefore we need a section to facilitate this where by other competitor agencies cannot see too much information about our influencers and a secure section whereby clients must log on in order to get all information about our pets. The demand for pet influencers has risen recently and plans to keep getting more & more popular with brands/companies all around the world.

Our main competitors have been around for 20+ years but we have a huge advantage about these are none are currently active on social media or haven’t moved with the times, i.e they do not update their website, profiles or use social outlets to advertise. We on the other hand utilize these platforms on a daily basis. A new digital website will greatly benefit us as this will link in perfectly with all our social media platforms also helping to raise our profile and build brand awareness.

Our current sales are London based as well as internationally. Our aim is to grown our sales/clients locally and nationally all around the UK with the help of this project, which will help to increase SEO & branding. For the new website & back end Urban Paws UK need to have a shopping list of functions which include; • A purpose built content management system, • Self-updating features ie. age & social stats of animal etc, • Search functionality i.e breed/location/size • Hidden visibility of data etc, • Membership only areas, enrolment area for new pet memberships • E-commerce for sales • Influencers stats to be included & updates via the website • Social media widgets for each influencer

Quality/ Technical Merit (50%)

Supplier must demonstrate they have the technical and professional capability to deliver the requirement.

Delivery Timescale (20%)

Supplier must demonstrate they can deliver the requirement to timescales above.

Cost/Value for money (30%)

Does supplier offer value for money. This will not necessarily be the cheapest quote.
