Requirement for expansion to current production facilities
Background
AC Plastics Ltd (ACP) is an injection moulder with over 30 years’ experience of producing precision injection moulded components for a range of companies and industries. Employing 60+ people over two sites with a combined production floorspace of over 25,000sqft. Production runs 24 hours a day, 5 days a week. ACP currently provides products to industries including – Automotive, Construction, Building Products, Vehicle Safety products, Water Filtration and Drainage & Plumbing.
Part of our future strategy is to enable customers to meet their sustainability targets and reduce waste through the use of recycled and bio-materials.
Requirement
We plan to turn existing warehousing space into a production unit. This will support our next growth phase. This will be equipped with 2 new energy efficient moulding machines as well as ancillary equipment.
To enable the conversion of the space the current 2000ft2 floor need to be levelled and re-enforced. Including, dig out existing, lay and compress hard-core, install damp proofing material, fill and re-enforce with concrete. We require quotes from competent firms to carry out all the work including supply of all materials and removal of all waste.
Deliverable Timescale
We expect the project to commence no later than 6th December 2021 and to be completed by 20th December 2021.
Evaluation Criteria
Quotations will be assessed and scored on the following criteria:
Cost/Value for money 20%
- Does supplier offer value for money. This will not necessarily be the cheapest quote
Deliverability Within Specified Timescales 40%
- Supplier must demonstrate they can deliver the requirement to timescales above
Meeting Specification Details 10%
- Supplier must demonstrate all specifications met
Supplier Suitability 30%
- Supplier must demonstrate they have the technical capability and experience to deliver the requirement.
Scoring Methodology
| 4 Excellent | Proposal meets, and in some places exceeds the required standard |
| 3 Good | Proposal meets required standard |
| 2 Acceptable | Proposal meets the required standard in most respects, but is lacking or inconsistent in others |
| 1 Poor | Proposal falls short of expected standard |
| 0 Unacceptable | Completely or significantly fails to meet required standard or does not provide the relevant answer |
