Shape Engineering was established in July 2016 and has grown from strength to strength, in our second year of trading we turned over £1.4 Million and are due to return to circa this figure in our 2022 Accounts (year-end February 2023) after recovering from a significant dip due to the COVID pandemic. We now have 16 staff in our Liverpool Head Office and we have a very strong pipeline of work for 2023, to date this year we have already secured our largest-ever scheme for 1200 new homes with Countryside Partnerships. We are therefore looking to expand our team (6 new members), with a mix of apprentices, graduates, and experienced staff to cope with the upcoming client demands and work pipeline.
We pride ourselves on using the latest technology and work in 3D (Building Information Modelling https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/building-information-modelling)
for both Civil & Structural Engineering, using XP Site 3D, AutoDesk & Teklar TSD software, which requires high-specification computers. Since company inception, the computers used by the Shape Team are outdated and need to be upgraded, we would like to standardise the computers across the board and introduce the same equipment to the new staff we need to employ. We would also like to introduce laptops rather than computer towers, a lesson learned from the COVID pandemic where working from home was a necessity.
We currently have 16 staff in our Liverpool Head Office. We hope to employ 6 new members of staff & would like to standardise and upgrade the computer equipment used by the team. We hope to purchase 19 new laptops, with keyboards and mice for the Technical Team and will use the old equipment for the 3 members of the Administration / Non-Technical Team Members.
We expect the project to commence no later than 18th February 2023 (or when Grant Funding has been secured) and to be completed by 18th August 2023 (anticipated timescale 6 months for equipment upgrade and implementation).
Indicative Budget – £140,000 – £170,000
