Background
Abbey Eng LLP has been in operation for over 15 years and is a local leader in Metal Manufacturing & Engineering. Over the last 3 years, we have proudly been contracted in the Nuclear Industry producing waste disposal boxes to aid the decommissioning of the UK’s nuclear plants.
As the contracts are due to expire soon, we have diversified our business and are looking to enter the Textile Industry and have an agreed 5-year framework in place with an International Blue Chip brand. This new venture will create a new revenue stream with a minimum of 18 jobs over the next 2 years.
Requirement
To fulfil our framework agreement, our project is expansion to ensure we have further capacity to be able to meet our customers demand and to ensure we employ our targeted staff of 18.
This increase in capacity and space would require a full refurb of a 10,000 sq. ft facility. Removal of internal stud walls, electrical rewire, creation of 2 x offices (approx. 100 sq. ft), and toilet facilities. Installation of lighting and heating will also be required. Site survey’s will be available from May 2023, and we estimate completion of the renovation work within 14 weeks.
Deliverable Timescale
We expect the project to commence no later than May 2023, and to be completed by August 2023.
Indicative Budget – £160k – £200k

Quotations will be assessed and scored on the following criteria:
Cost 30%
Does supplier offer value for money.
Deliverability Within Specified Timescales 30%
Supplier must demonstrate they can deliver the requirement to timescales above.
Meeting Specification Details 10%
Supplier must demonstrate all spe0cifications met.
Supplier Suitability 30%
Supplier must demonstrate they have the capability to deliver the requirement.
