This is the 5th opening of the Education, Work and Skills Flexible Procurement System (FPS).

This opportunity is open to both new applicants and those wishing to re-apply following feedback from the initial invitation to apply.

The deadline for this application window is 12pm on Monday 6th June 2022.

The following events are due to be held:

Information Event, Wednesday 20th April, 11am-12.30pm

This event will give an overview of the FPS, what it is used for, and the timeline of the opening. There will be a question and answer session during the event.

Applicant Workshop, Wednesday 27th April, 10-11.30am

The FPS team will run through the application process from start to finish, covering all elements of the SSQ Response document and the Requirements Matrix. We will also give our top tips for ways to get the most from your application.

Both of these events will be recorded, and the slides will be circulated to attendees, through the Chest and those on the FPS mailing list.

We will also be holding 1-to-1 drop in sessions during May. More details about these sessions will be publicised following the Applicant Workshop.

GMCA wish to create a Flexible Procurement System to fulfil the following objectives:

  • To create a single Procurement System that allows easier and quicker commissioning of education, work and skills activity by GMCA.
  • To minimise the timescale for procurement activity for GMCA
  • To reduce confusion and administration whilst creating opportunities for a wider range of Suppliers to bid for GMCA commissioned activity. Further details regarding this procurement can be found in the descriptive document.
